Working group
New Vice-Chair
Call status: closed
The main objective of the European Commission Initiative on Breast Cancer (ECIBC) is to provide essential levels of quality care that are equally accessible across Europe by developing evidence based guidelines and a voluntary quality assurance scheme within the context of organised, population-based screening programmes. This European initiative is using specific methodologies for the integrated development of the European breast cancer guidelines and for the update of the European quality assurance scheme for breast cancer services.
The European Commission has already appointed in 2023 a new Chair of the current Guidelines Development Group (GDG) and with this call intends to appoint a Vice-Chair. Please note that the European initiative will evolve to form one new working group in 2025 developing both the guidelines and the requirements for breast cancer services, thus covering quality assurance as well. The Chairs will follow this process.
The Vice-Chair, subject to this call, is expected to have expertise in cancer screening and/or follow-up care, possibly with expertise in the clinical fields. Prior experience/knowledge in guidelines and/or quality assurance scheme development would constitute an advantage.
Please read the call document carefully before applying.
Deadline: 29 February 2024
